Keys to Korey ‘s bass sound

As far as influences on the electric bass go, 3AM member, Korey Davison draws on Stanley Clarke and the late Jaco Pastorius. Clarke and Pastorius were two of the most celebrated electric bassists of the 1970s, favoring an approach that was jazz-based, yet also drew inspiration from Larry Graham (who played electric bass and sang with Sly & the Family Stone before he formed his own band, Graham Central Station, in the 1970s).   And many years after the 1970s, musicians who play jazz on the electric bass still benefit from the breakthroughs of Clarke and Pastorius.
